Jon Brooks (AKA The Advisory Circle) has just put out the first release on his new Café Kaput label.
Electronic Music in the Classroom is a smart collection of clonky, awkward electronica (ie the best kind of electronica) from the fictional protegés of the equally fictional D.D.Denham. With artwork by Moon Wiring Club’s Ian Hodgson and track titles like ‘The Way the Vicar Smiles’ and ‘Big New Face in the Snow’ I really don’t see how it is possible to avoid buying this one.
